Job Description

The purpose of this position is to develop rates and maintain the rating and program system set ups for the Automotive Department.  They would act within the guidelines and procedures that have been established by the Senior Vice President of Administration. The Rate Administrator will provide support to the Department and other Executives of the department.  This would include all support functions required by the President, Department Vice President(s), Regional Managers and Account Managers as well as support needed by fellow associates.  The Rate Administrator will be expected to interact with various Automotive Departments such as Sales, ADS, MIS and others as it is required.


•       Builds and maintain the rating system on the database for all automotive products.

•       Maintains system maintenance and set up for programs.

•       Preparation and distribution of rating cards and disc to the appropriate Departments to be used by the dealerships.

•       Communicates necessary business information to appropriate Departments.

•       Perform other duties of the Sales Administration Department as assigned.

•       Superior working knowledge of Excel and formulas within.

•       Detail Orientated

•       Ability to Multi-task

•       Comfortable with various computer systems/applications

•       Excellent problem solving skills

•       Proficient Math skills (beyond basic arithmetic)

•       Knowledge and/or background with automobile manufacturers and their various makes/models preferred but not required.

•       Works well in a “Team” environment.

•       Department Hours: M-F; 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)

•       Ability to interact effectively with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

•       Must be extremely detail oriented

•       Efficiently handle multiple tasks

•       Excellent Customer Service Skills

•       Excellent Communication Skills

•       Ability to read and interpret documents
