Oryx Insurance Brokerage, Inc. is searching for a dynamic Administrative Assistant for their Binghamton, NY office.  Hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm.  This position is part time.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

•   Provide general administrative support to manager(s) and staff

•   Receive, screen and handle telephone calls, incoming mail/email, publications and other correspondence, much of which is confidential or sensitive in nature

•   Create and maintain computer and paper-based filing and organization systems

•   Interact effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside of the Company in a professional and confidential manner

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

•   Associates’ Degree or 2-3 years of previous reception experience

•   3+ years of related work experience answering a multi-line telephone system

•   Experience working with Microsoft Office products: (indicate Word, Excel or PowerPoint)

Business Specific Criteria (Preferred Skills):

•         Demonstrate a strong customer service focus

•         Effective verbal, written and computer skills

•         Must project a positive, helpful attitude while being an active listener

•         Should be able to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities

•         Must work cooperatively and establish positive relationships within the organization

•         Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential
